Anglo American Metallurgical Coal Australia is pleased to partner with
CQUniversity for another three years from 2010 to continue the Mining
Associate Program, an industry-based specialised training program in
mining engineering which includes the Associate Degree of Engineering
(Mining ) delivered by CQUniversity Australia.
Two programs were initially developed in 2005 and 2006 by Anglo,
CQUniversity, Central Queensland Institute of TAFE and TAFE Queensland
Mining Services (CQIT/TQMS) for Surface and Underground Mining.
Since then the relationship has grown to include the Safety Associate
Program. More than two dozen students are enrolled in the programs.
Under this partnership Anglo Associates undertake practical mine site
experience, training and education which enables them to support mining
professionals in areas such as mine planning, coal quality management,
surveying, environmental monitoring and site management.
